Permanent makeup works by implanting color pigment into your skin, making it appear to be like every day makeup. It can be used for areas of the face such as your eyebrows, lips and eyeliner. The entire process includes a consultation, the application of pigment and at least one or more follow up visits so that we can evaluate the healed design work and the color of the pigment.
While the level of pain experienced varies according to each individual’s pain threshold, topical anesthetics are used to numb the area being treated and minimize any discomfort. The most pain that may be experienced could be described as a mild pricking or a stinging sensation.
Precautions will vary depending on which treatment you are opting for. If you are receiving permanent eyeliner, you should not wear your contact lenses to the appointment. Also, following an eyeliner procedure, you should plan on wearing your glasses for approximately 5 days following the treatment.
