Duration: Depending on the type of lip filler you choose and on the size and condition of the area being treated, lip rejuvenation therapy is typically 30 minutes long.

Number of treatments: Because the effects of the lip fillers are not permanent, a treatment is required every 6-9 months to maintain that well-defined, voluminous shape.

Results: You can expect possible swelling and bruising after the procedure, but the majority of our patients see visible changes immediately within 14 days of the treatment. As the lip filler integrates into the body, you will notice continued improvements for results that can last up to 1 year.

How do lip fillers work?

Through the use of an ultra-fine lip injection, one of our skin care professionals will insert the clear filler gel underneath your skin, into the deep dermis. This gel works to add volume and fill in any lip lines or wrinkles for a smoother, plumper and younger looking mouth.

Do lip injections hurt?

Lip rejuvenation is mostly pain free. However, to minimize any discomfort, the area of your face which is being treated will be numbed using a topical anesthetic cream before the lip injection is administered.

What can I do to prepare for my lip filler procedure?

Before a lip injection, you must avoid alcohol and stop taking any blood-thinning medication. This includes aspirin, ibuprofen and any other type of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs as well as Vitamin E. If you have suffered from facial sores in the past, talk to one of our trained practitioners as they may be able to prescribe a medication that can minimize recurrence.

What can I expect after my lip filler procedure?

After treatment you may have some swelling, redness, bruising or tenderness. These symptoms are typical but usually mild in severity and normally last for less than 14 days. Avoid exposure to intense heat, taking aspirin, medications such as ibuprofen, high doses of vitamin E or St. John’s wort for 1 week. As the filler is naturally absorbed into your body, you will begin to notice visible results which you can enjoy for 6-12 months.
