Diamond Microdermabrasion is a gentle, non-invasive skin exfoliation therapy which leads to a more vibrant, supple and fresh appearance. It is appropriate for all skin types.

Ideal For:
  • Reducing or eliminating unwanted wrinkles
  • Improving the appearance of acne and acne scars
  • Treating age spots, sun damage and any other form of skin discoloration
  • Reducing stretch marks
  • Eliminating blackheads and whiteheads
  • Removing dead and unhealthy skin

At Okanagan Skin Care Centre, our unique microdermabrasion therapy begins with a deep cleanse and is tailored to the specific needs and concerns of our individual clients, rejuvenating your skin from the inside. Our treatments will vastly improve the quality of your skin tone and texture, leaving you feeling fresh, young and incredibly nourished.

We often recommend a skin exfoliation treatment to our patients when accumulated damaged and dead skin cells make your face appear dry, course and tired and when trapped dirt and oils become blackheads and pimples. Removing this outer layer of dead skin cells leaves a smoother texture and promotes the growth of healthy, new cells.

Our highly-trained estheticians perform a type of diamond microdermabrasion which has the same successful results as particle dermabrasion but without the loose particles, skin irritations and adverse reactions. By using a handpiece called the DiamondTome, we gently exfoliate the old and damaged top layer of your skin, revealing the glowing, newer and healthier skin underneath.

Microdermabrasion FAQ

How does the diamond microdermabrasion treatment work?

Using a handpiece called the DiamondTome, our experienced and trained specialists will gently yet powerfully exfoliate the damaged and dead top layer of your skin to reveal glowing, newer and healthier skin below.

Is this type of skin care therapy painful?

Microdermabrasion is a painless and quick procedure. While some of our patients may experience very slight discomfort around the eyes, your skin will adjust as the treatment continues.

What can I do to prepare for my skin exfoliation treatment?

As with most of our cosmetic procedures, you must provide our specialists with an accurate medical history during your consultation. This will allow us to ensure that you are an ideal candidate before continuing with any treatment plans. Problems that may interfere with microdermabrasion include rosacea, autoimmune disorders and patients with dilated capillaries, warts, acne and other skin lesions.

What can I expect from a diamond microdermabrasion treatment?

After a microdermabrasion treatment, your skin may appear slightly swollen and red. This swelling should settle within the day and it is recommended that you stay out of the sun and maintain a proper skin care routine.
